Redwinged Blackbird

These almost solid black birds sport red and yellow patches on their wings, and they can control whether you see red, yellow, or both... for what reason we're not sure. Here two Blackbirds "discuss" the use of a birdbath with a female Redbellied Woodpecker.

You will generally see these guys mixed in with a large flock of Grackles.
