Pensacola, Florida

On Christmas, 1997, we decided to abandon the family christmas, and headed south to Pensacola. The goal was to bag the Naval Air Museum at the Naval Air Station, and whatever else happened to be there. So, we got Fort Barrancas, Fort Pickens, and the Planetarium at Pensacola Junior College, our first encounter with the new Digistar Projectors.

This was the view from our motel room, on Pensacola Beach (Santa Rosa Island). This was at the Hampton Inn... highly recommended! The only down side was they have no restaurant, so we ended up eating Christmas Dinner at a local watering hole. It was interesting...
